WILLIAM LEWINGTON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Bill Lewington on October 21, 2006. Dad was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1926. He had a long enjoyable career with Manitoba Hydro and retired in 1986. He spent most of his adult years owning race horses and spending his time at Assiniboia Downs, where he made many long-lasting friendships. Dad was very committed to helping others and always had time to help those in need. Dad was predeceased by mom, Lydia in 1993; his sisters, Dorothy and Marge; his parents, Frederick and Leta. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Darlene (Kevin), and Kelly (Bob); his beloved grandchildren, Jordi, Chris, and Sydney; his sisters, Beryl and Eleanor; and by his close companion Buddy (his dog). Many thanks to all friends and family for their support. Special thanks to dad's neighbor who helped during this difficult time. As per dad's wishes, he will be cremated and a private family service held. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated in Dad's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
